Business Problem
Program staff in Washington D.C. was responsible for reporting to multiple parties including, department groups and legislative entities (House and Senate members' staff and various committees). Multiple high priority data calls with little lead time (often from 3 to 24 hours) were requested to be completed, including end of day requests and non- business hours requests. The program staff, who did not have direct access to all program data, relationships and rules, was not able to utilize existing reports due to differences in data, filters, aggregation levels and applied business logic. There were also development resource conflicts and issues in obtaining verification on the data for these multiple requests in the time required. Therefore, the customer was not able to adequately respond to a number of data calls.

Rose Value Proposition
Rose business intelligence resources worked together to collect the data, and provide a highly interactive dashboard that would resolve the stated business problems. The team was able to develop a data model, and wrap a dynamic tool around it that could service hundreds of data requests at numerous levels without further development or verification, as had been required prior to the project. The Rose resources were also knowledgeable on the various programs' business processes, which reduced the financial and time investment required. An intentional effort was made to leverage all available data sources, applied logic and staff relationships from previous related efforts. Using their technical, business, and product development expertise, they led the project from design, through development and testing/verification, to end user training and installation.

Results
Because of this effort, the national and state office program staff was able to service a greater number of data calls within time constraints at any time of any day. The development and financial verification resource requirements were greatly decreased, which freed up the staff to focus on results. This reduction in development resources saved both time and money. These resources could now focus on other high priority projects. Because a number of the data calls were related to legislative requirements, the project increased compliance. The resulting product was so well received at the highest levels of the department that a request was made to investigate expanding the tool to service the entire department.
