Cheryl's Rose Employment Experience

Project Description
Cheryl, an enthusiastic and experienced copywriter, was brought on by the client to produce marketing-focused website copy for law firms. During her assignment, she conducted client interviews, prepared and revised website content, and created effective websites. Cheryl felt she was a part of the Rose International family. Everyone "went out of their way to help me." Even when she had a set back with her on-boarding paperwork, the Rose team put her mind at ease, and worked with her to fix the issue quickly. She described the individuals she worked with at Rose as "attentive and quick responding with a cheery disposition". Chrissy is a young HR professional who came to Rose when she saw a job posting at a prominent healthcare company. "When I saw there was an open position there, I knew I had to get it to get my foot in the door." While on assignment, she learned about more than just the medical industry, "I learned that I can work in a larger team than I thought, and that I can handle having people rely on me to get the job done right." Her work as a recruiting coordinator also let her learn about various specializations in her field, "My job let me work independently, but whenever I needed help or information, I got to interact with lots of different people. I learned a lot." At the end of her contract, senior team members told her how much they appreciated her help, "I made a lot of valuable connections at the company and within the industry."

Chrissy settled in quickly at her new workplace, but she still appreciated that her Rose Recruiter took the time to check in and make sure everything was going well on the job. Dawn is an experienced Human Resources professional who has worked seven years in the field of HR. During her assignment, she used her knowledge to resolve employee relations, personnel and performance issues. She also conducted inquires on current investigations. In the past, Dawn has worked in the recruiting field; she says when it comes to recruiting she likes "expeditious things". Lavanya, her Rose Recruiter, made the On-boarding process "painless" by providing the necessary documents with very "crisp and clear" instructions. "Lavanya constantly reached out to me about where I was in the process, and outlined each step in a very simple way".

Dawn believes the greatest assets to Rose International are the Rose Team Members. "The people are not only professional, but highly communicative and customer centric right to the core. Processes go array, but if you have the right people, the customer will be more understanding." Even when a technical issue affected her payroll, Dawn was impressed with the Rose Team. "Shirley and Neetu were helpful. I love it, love it! These two folks were great." Project Description
Deborah is a skilled editor, but had not previously worked in the banking field. During her assignment, she received extensive training on computer programs and the banking industry, so she could confidently edit and fact check letters sent to banking customers. Deborah received, "the most training I've ever gotten for a position that was a contract position," during her assignment with Rose. Deborah felt that her recruiter prepared her for every step of the hiring process, noting, "The job [Rose] placed me in was close to my abilities and capabilities, which made me feel comfortable in that position. There were other people placed by other companies, and they weren't right for this kind of job; they left before the project ended."

The Rose Experience
Deborah liked Rose's one-on-one recruiting approach the most. She was so confident in the company's superior placement skills that she recommended her recruiter to her team members when the project ended. "I told them that Jenna was easy to work with, and that she was always quick to get back to me." Deborah appreciated how Jenna kept her informed throughout the assignment, and took the time to answer all of her questions. "She might not have always had the answer, but she would take the time to get it, and always get back to me." Deborah said she would "love to" work with Rose again.

Project Description
George was a consultant looking to transition from IT into business. As a repeat contractor with the client, "it was like coming back to what I used to do, but with a wider variety of projects and significantly more exposure to the business side of things. It was a good transition." While on assignment, he was able to "implement a solution that saved the company $30,000 per month." The client noticed his significant contributions to important projects, and at the end of his contract, George received an offer and accepted full time employment with the client.

The Rose Experience
George's contract with the client was transitioned to Rose while he was on assignment. George admitted that he was concerned about the possibility of a cumbersome transition process but "the transition between one vendor and Rose was seamless. Richard at Rose was quick to solve any problems or issues." George found having a single point of contact at Rose a valuable asset. "Richard made us feel like we mattered to Rose and the client where we were on assignment. His quick response time made us feel like we were a priority." When asked if he would work for Rose again, George said, "I'm in full-time employment now, but I would be happy to work with Rose if I needed them in the future. I tried to get the other consultants on my team into Rose because I was so impressed. It really helps consultants when there is a team that will take care of us."

Jeannie was brought on by a leading provider of innovative document management systems and services as an administrative professional. Throughout her assignment Jeannie received much praise for the quality of work she was performing. "They [the client] were so impressed they wanted to keep me!", Jeannie said. Khalil is a full-time physical science graduate student who was looking to gain some valuable field experience over the summer. Rose helped him get a position as a R&D Intern on a team developing a conditioning routine for football athletes. "It was very beneficial to get some research experience, and I enjoyed the responsibilities they gave me." Khalil was placed in charge of administering a field experiment from start to finish. "It was a great opportunity to see what corporate research was like. Plus, I got to work with and meet NFL players." Khalil appreciated the "prompt help and quick turnarounds with any transaction" he had with Rose. "Whether it was paperwork or drug tests, everything was expedited and the people were very helpful." Khalil adds that he appreciated how Rose let him focus on what mattered, "My internship was challenging but it was great to get so much hands on experience on the field with real athletes. Rose made sure I was there on the field, and not on the phone trying to get paperwork taken care of."

Retiree Pat does not have to work but says she still enjoys working. "I have a friend who convinced me to work for Rose International after I retired. After a year out of the business, I wanted to see if I could still do this." She also found out she enjoyed the structure of doing project work. "There was something about going in to work there. Everyone went in to do the job. In IT, you get to see a project from start to finish. It is like a super craft project you get to put together and at the end, you get to say, 'Wow. We did this.' They called us a dream team." Going back to work offered Pat the chance to keep her skills up to date as well. "[After retiring] you like to keep your mind active and be around people. Not only that, I learned more about doing testing and documentation."

The Rose Experience
Working with Rose International, Inc. was a great experience for Pat. "My friend told me Rose was good, but my recruiter Melody was so supportive. She was very helpful whenever I had questions. It was great to know she was there to support me." Melody prepared Pat for her new position, "There was such a detailed explanation of what the job was. I knew what kind of job I was going to do before my first day." Pat was also impressed with Rose International's benefits, "You may be 'temporary' but you have a 401k, a chance for stock options and the healthcare benefits were similar to my full time position. Many other groups are not as experienced or professional as Rose. I wish every government IT position had Rose recruiting for it because I would work with them every time."

Project Description
Robert's contract position at our client opened up a whole new part of his industry he had not experienced before. "This job was intriguing to me. I had a basic awareness of this industry, but I did not have in-depth knowledge of it. The property tax industry is really exciting and I did not know it was that way before I walked through the door at the start of my assignment. This job allowed me to see the whole running of the government. You see that government is not just what goes on in D.C.; it's what happens in your life."

The Rose Experience
Robert also enjoyed the healthy environment at the office, "the people at the office were the best co-workers that I have ever had. They were very friendly and professional with respect to conduct, manners, and roles in the office." Robert found the orientation process on-site at our client smooth and effective. "They let me know what's expected of me, how to find things in the file system, gave me insight and training on the software and an overview of the industry. They explained what our overall goal is as a company and how I fit into it." Knowing all of this helped him feel prepared and significant while on his assignment. "Once you know what you're doing and the value of what you're doing, it makes a world of difference."

Not every position can be filled by someone new to the role; Robert's Rose Recruiter had to make sure he was ready for this new role. "Everyone I spoke with at Rose did a great job making sure that I was going to be the right person for the job. When I walked through the door at the client, I was ready to run." He especially appreciated his Rose Recruiter, "Charla is great! She's a great person, and she follows up on everything. When I made a mess of my paperwork, she got cleaned it up. I missed something on my paperwork, and she reviewed it and showed me how fix it right away. She even reached out to payroll and made sure it all went through before my next paycheck."

Project Description
Our client needed help fast and Shawn was just the man for the job, "I was brought in to replace someone [the client] had not expected to lose, so when I came in it was a tight deadline." Shawn's background in contract analysis meant he had the skills our client needed, "I started out remapping the process to see if there was a way to streamline it to get things done more efficiently. Since they knew my background, they encouraged me to help with this. I was able to cut some of the extraneous processes and make it easier to hit the deadline." Shawn enjoys the save-the-day aspect of project work, "I like this kind of work because it was a project with an important deadline. I like being able to come in and help out."

"Rose was really proactive during the process. I could tell that my Recruiter, Netta, really seemed to take an interest in me and helping the client find a person who could walk in and help solve the problem." Netta helped Shawn prepare for his interview and on his first day, "a Rose Manager met me onsite to congratulate me and make sure all of the security clearances were squared away." From beginning to end, Shawn found that, "all of the people at Rose were really friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed really positive and the entire hiring and on-boarding process was smooth. Rose is a great company."

Project Description
"Working with Rose International, I did not feel like a number. I felt like a person, and I felt like my Recruiter Lisa really was concerned for me. I will give you an example. When I first started at the client, I got a call about a month or two in saying they were cancelling the contract. Lisa started looking for me right away, and I reached out to the people I had met at the client. We found a new project for me to transfer to, and even though the process was probably unusual for her, Lisa worked with the new manager to get me into that group. She managed to make that process seamless, and I know she had to work really well with the client to line everything up. We had to make sure that I did not lose my system access or any other paperwork, because that would have caused delays. She never dropped the ball, and I was able to go from one project to the next without a problem."

"I just like you all! I just have a good feeling about everyone I spoke with at Rose International. I did not feel like I was being auctioned off to the highest buyer. Other agencies treat you like that. You were there even after I began onsite. Lisa checked in to make sure everything was ok, and she reached out again at the end of the contract; I knew she was working very hard to find me a new position. I have worked for many other agencies, and once a project is over they just drop you. You all have stayed in touch, and I really appreciate that about you. Project Description
Stephen began his IT career in England, and when he decided to move to the U.S., "I was more than a bit nervous, but despite what you see in the movies about big businesses in America being all corporate and political, I found that there was more of a sense of teamwork, than the departmentalized culture in the UK. I feel like I get more support at work in the U.S., than I do in England." Stephen previously worked with this client in 2000, and five years later was hired on again through Rose. "Everyone remembered me! I loved working for [the client], and my project got to an international level where I was liaising with Europe and Singapore." When his contract finished in 2011 Stephen said he was sad to see it end, "That is how it goes though; it is funny, I started there on a 40-day contract in 2007."

The Rose Experience
When Stephen contacted Rose, "I found the experience to be quite painless even though I am a foreign national who, though having previously worked at length in the U.S., needed to ask lots of questions and required the odd bit of kind reassurance." Stephen found that working with Rose meant he could focus on his work, instead of devoting his time and effort to navigating working as a foreign national. "When I arrived here, it was my first time in the U.S. in 10 years. You [Rose] knew a lot more about working as a contractor in the U.S. than I did. It was nice that you answered all my questions, led me by the hand through all the steps and whenever I had a question; I was not made to feel stupid."

Stephen chose to work with Rose because, "Rose seemed a lot more interested in me than other companies. The team would check up on me just to make sure things were going well, and you did your job so that I could do mine." He particularly enjoyed how Rose simplified the sometimes-complicated work involved with being a contractor, "you were there in my corner doing the paperwork. Two years in, [the client] needed some paperwork that was in a box in England. I told Rose, and someone got on the phone with HR, and Rose got them to understand the situation." Stephen also appreciated how efficiently Rose handled payroll, "You guys seem to work in the 21st century; you did not ask me to fax you timesheets signed by two managers who might or might not be there on a Friday. I could use the program and submit my timecard. It was all authorized, and I was paid on time. If I ever needed to speak to a human being, I could call them, and they would answer my weird questions."

To others considering consulting in the U.S., Stephen offered this advice, "The fact that you can say 'help me,' and Rose will get you set up to work means you do not really need to be a professional contractor. Rose worked for me, rather than the other way around. I did not have to be a small business owner taking care of lots of business paperwork. Instead, I got to focus on my work, and Rose did all of that." Overall, "you have managed to streamline an often-frustrating process that enables your clients, at both ends, to get from initial request, to useful employee with the minimum amount of fuss and paperwork."

Terrell has worked for other staffing agencies but Rose International was the first to impress him with exceptional communication, "I honestly have never worked for an agency where I really felt that all my bases were covered before I began the assignment; Rose is the exception to that rule. "My recruiter, Christina, took the time to actually get to know me during the hiring process, I really appreciated it." Christina found Terrell a position, "I liked that it was what I was familiar with; [The client] was very team oriented. They had team meetings and were always trying to make the team better."
